• Coastal Buildings:

  • Buildings with three or more stories located within three miles of the coast.

  • Built between 1983 and 1997.

  • Must undergo recertification inspection by December 31, 2024, and every 10 years thereafter.

• Buildings Constructed After 1998:

  • Must undergo their first inspection at 25 years of age and recertify every 10 years thereafter.

• Eligible Buildings:

  • Structures 25 years or older.

  • Must undergo inspection and certification to ensure structural and electrical safety.

  • Recertification is required every ten years thereafter first inspection.

• Exclusions:

  • Single-family homes

  • Duplexes.

  • Small buildings with limited occupancy (fewer than 10 people)

  • Or an area of less than 2,000 square feet.
